Warehouse Creation Steps

Follow the steps below to create a Warehouse.

Step 1: Navigate to Warehouses

Open the Warehouses tab from the Cloudy Inventory application.

Step 2: Create a New Warehouse

Click New to create a new Warehouse.

Step 3: Enter Warehouse Information

Provide the required information:

• Warehouse Name
• Legal Entity
• Warehouse Type
• Manager Contact
• Active
• Temperature Controlled
• Street
• City
• State
• Country
• Postal Code

Step 4: Configure Storage Capacity

Enter:

• Total Storage Volume Capacity
• Total Storage Weight Capacity
• Volume Threshold %
• Weight Threshold %

Step 5: Save the Warehouse

Click Save to create the Warehouse.

Best Practices

• Create separate Warehouses for different business units or geographical locations.
• Configure accurate storage capacities before receiving inventory.
• Set appropriate Volume and Weight Thresholds to receive utilization alerts.
• Enable Temperature Controlled only for warehouses storing temperature-sensitive products.
• Create well-structured Inventory Locations (Bins, Racks, Shelves, Zones) to improve inventory organization.
• Regularly monitor warehouse utilization reports to optimize storage efficiency.
• Maintain Warehouse Manager information for operational accountability.
• Review utilization alerts periodically to prevent storage overcapacity and improve warehouse performance.
