Outbound Shipment

The Outbound Shipment object in Cloudy Business Ops 360 represents the final step in the order fulfillment process — the physical movement of goods from your warehouse to the customer or destination.

It captures shipping details, logistics provider information, tracking numbers, and links back to the corresponding Sales Order and Order Fulfillment record, enabling full visibility of the shipment process.

Example Scenario

Imagine a customer places an order for 20 units of Product A. After fulfillment is processed, the warehouse prepares the items for shipping:

  • Outbound Shipment Record:
    • Date = Today
    • Logistics Provider = FedEx
    • Sales Order = SO-123
    • Shipping Address = Customer’s address
    • Tracking Number = 123456789
    • Status = Dispatched

This record enables the business to monitor when the shipment is delivered and provide the customer with tracking information.

Outbound Shipment Creation

Outbound Shipment Creation refers to the process of sending goods from a warehouse or distribution center to customers, retail stores, or other destinations. This step takes place after order fulfillment and ensures that the committed inventory is packed and shipped to the correct location.


This process involves selecting the appropriate shipping method, generating shipping labels, and updating the system with tracking details. Proper outbound shipment management helps maintain accurate delivery timelines, improves logistics efficiency, and ensures that products reach their destination in the right quantity and condition.

Outbound Shipment creation process as follows:

Select “Outbound Shipment” Button on Top Right Corner of the Sales Order as shown in screenshot.

After clicking the ‘Outbound Shipment‘ button, Outbound Shipment is displayed as follows,

Click ‘Save’ to create an Outbound Shipment record as shown below.
