
Order Fulfillment
Order Fulfillment represents the process of completing a Sales Order by delivering the products or services to the customer.
In Cloudy Business Ops 360, the Order Fulfillment object is used to track, manage, and confirm that a Sales Order has been processed, packaged, shipped, and marked as fulfilled.
Why Order Fulfillment is Important
- Tracks Completion – Ensures every Sales Order is fully delivered.
- Improves Customer Satisfaction – Provides visibility into order status and fulfillment date.
- Operational Accuracy – Links the fulfillment process with legal entities and helps with compliance.
- Automation Support – Allows triggering of downstream processes like invoicing or payment collection once fulfilled.
Checkbox Functionality
Adding checkbox fields enhances visibility and automation during fulfillment.
Checkbox Field | Purpose / Use |
Packed? | Indicates that items for this order have been packed. |
Shipped? | Marks that the order has been shipped to the customer. |
Delivered? | Confirms that the order has been delivered. Can trigger invoice finalization or customer notification. |
Partial Fulfillment? | Indicates that only part of the order was fulfilled, and the remainder is pending. |
Requires Follow-up? | Flags orders that need special handling (e.g., damaged shipment, return requests). |
Generate Order Fulfillment
Order Fulfillment in the context of a sales order refers to the entire process of processing, packing, and delivering goods to the customer after inventory allocation. Once the quantity is committed in inventory allocation, the fulfillment process ensures that the ordered items are picked, packed, and shipped accurately.
This process includes verifying the committed inventory, preparing the shipment, and updating the system to reflect the order status. Efficient order fulfillment helps maintain accurate stock levels, streamline logistics, and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Select “Generate Order Fulfilment” Button on top right corner of the Sales Order as shown in screenshot.

After clicking the ‘Generate Order Fulfillment‘ button, the Sales Order Fulfillment form appears as shown below,

Click ‘Save’ to create an Order Fulfillment record as shown below.

Note: To enable order fulfillment, you must select the Order Fulfillment Required for Outbound checkbox in the Legal Entity’s General Settings, as shown in the screenshot below.
